The paper work process always comes first. The vehicle needs to be fully insured (there are certain circumstances that do not require this), the registration, proof of insurance, and our towing forms need to be brought to us so there aren’t any troubles on the way to the destination. If you are the buyer and we are towing to you; we will also need the proof of purchase from both the parties (buyer and seller). We don’t want to be towing a vehicle and find out half way there that it is stolen property. Michiana Towing is fully insured so no matter what happens both you and I are covered. In these times we prepare for anything and everything. Michiana Towing leaves no stone unturned when it comes to safety and insurance so you can rest easy while we have your vehicle.
Michiana Towing follows all the laws for towing RV’s and Motorhomes. Most people do not know that if towing out of state that you must follow the towing laws for each different state you travel through no matter where your vehicle is registered. Also, if the vehicle weighs more than three thousand pounds it is required that an auxiliary breaking system be used. We always use the driving gear that is recommended by the manufacturer for towing your RV or motorhome.
Our drivers go through an extensive training so we are positive that they can tow an RV or motorhome safely. That are taught that moderate speeds place less strain on the towing vehicle or trailer. If driving at a high speed it is more possible that the sway will increase and that can lead to serious accidents. To only drive for ten hours at a time for safety purposes and to always weigh the RV or motorhome before towing to the next location.
We also check the information and confirm the appointment three different ways. We call you to confirm the information, email the information we have to you to confirm it is correct, and we can either text you or snail mail the information to you again to confirm the information is all there and all correct. We use the same system for confirming the appointment so you know we are very through with your information and appointment and that we will be arriving thirty minutes before the scheduled appointment.
However if you are ever unsatisfied with the services received or the way one of our staff members or technicians treat you. Please call management and let us know. We would like to have a record of all incidents and deal with then accordingly. Our first priority is our customer and their safety while operating their vehicle. That being said; we will do our absolute best to correct the problem or solve the situation leaving you 100% satisfied with our company and services.
